So those weapons mods by NoOne on the Blood Repository; are the weapons values actualy changed, like speed, spread, damage etc?

How is that done basicly; by changing a table of chararistics?

Well, I think the TRIGGER value in the QAV (weapon anim file) is changed.

For example the Tommy Gun; when TRIGGER is set to 7 it shoots in the middle, when set lower or higher it shoots more to the left or right.
Sometimes a trigger is used to switch to another animation, for example the TNT.

So each weapon has its own distinct characteristic.

Changing the speed is done by lowering the TPF (ticks per frame) value inside the QAV file.

Hey Corv, glad to see you again. All you need to know is already said by BME.
Im use only QAV settings like triggers and animation speed tricks. Thats how you can build a pistol even from Tommy Gun or chaingun from sawed off.

BTW: my first post here. Hi all and good site :D

Hey NoOne, thanks to you two for the explaination.

So would you say thats the proper way to modify the weapons or the only trick we have to do so?

If its a trick then whats require for a proper way?

Modifying the QAV files can be considered as being the proper way.
I would say a trick would be to just changing the art files which is of course inferior when it comes to possibilities.

Here's an example of a changed shotgun:

As you can see, the shotgun does not go through the reload animation but restarts the firing animation right away.
Something like this is only possible using QAV edit since you are able to modify or delete trigger values.

A more complete weapon mod:
