As announced over on Posty and mentioned over on Transfusion Forums, Matt Mann (aka DaMann) formerly of Necrosoft is working on putting out an updated version of the old BloodLines TC. He says he has been inspired by the new-found interest for Blood maps due to BloodGDX and play through series on YouTube. Seeing how the project's formerly incomplete state helped mark the end of the era of Planet Blood, it is exciting to see it rise again from the ashes.

Posty has been down for me again lately. Was interested in hearing more from the Bloodlines TC guys there, but then they have posted on Transfusion as well. Anyone else have any luck?

Also, sadly the latest and most complete archive of the Posty forums on Archive.org is from that weird period in 2016 where half of the potsts showed as blank.

Does the TC have a web site?
Do you have a link to the Transfusion post about the TC?

The Blood scene has been strong with the Transfusion Forum, but even that hasn't been busy with good posts within the past 4 months or so.

Blood made a come back when it was sold on Steam and GOG. and with The Bloody Repo site appearing and BME's editing site being presented. Also Blood Freeminded and this Blood Line Site. (which java blood wouldn't have existed without it).

Too me Blood has been strong for the last 10 years, as far as me talking and playing with others about it.

Postmortem has been dead for a long time, there wasn't even a site for it, just a forum. There's nothing in the forum archives that is of use anyhow. Hopefully we can get it back soon though. Maybe the forum will be fixed soon. It apperantly has been down several times in the past few years.

I agree that Blood has been doing pretty well since it was released on GOG. BloodGDX is just the icing on the cake.

That said, when it comes to Transfusion Forums, Postmortem or even here, it seems that the current thing is that people just talk about the game wherever they are at the time, be it on Facebook or YouTube or GOG or Duke4 forums, rather than single collective communities like in the old days. If anything I find this makes my efforts on the wiki even more important, as I try to keep track of it all from disparate sources.

The Transfusion post is here:

http://forums.transfusion-game.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2492#p30469

Sadly, with Posty's latest convulsion, I can not get at the stand alone thread about this there.

I am hoping they make a Mod DB entry or something when the time comes.

Cool. Thanks for the link. :)

I wonder if he knows the install process was smoothed out on the released TC by being rescripted by BME. I think it made the download a lot smaller as well, not sure though about the last.

*Phantasm*

We.... Live... Again :)

Yep, working on Bloodlines again. I'll say it's slow going. Felix Drott and I are no longer in late teens or early 20s haha.

We are finishing up and updating old maps. Some were still 90% completion... Some we are piecing together.. I'd made a evil dead cabin bit for a level and didn't want to lose it so now its part of a museum exhibit in a level!

So updated and fixed original 13 maps, probably 8 or 10 more maps in the Bloodlines style, some secret micro maps... One is based on Dusk actually!... New sounds, and.... A nasty, nasty surprise. Hahahhahahahahaha

I'll try to respond here but most dialogue is on Discord and Facebook now my friends.

Glad to be building again!

The Discord and Facebook are just the Blood Multiplayer ones... We don't have our own at this time. Felix when he gets a moment in life is going to relaunch a wesbite.

The moddb entry is NOT us. Need to get a good one up there....

Bloody Pulp Fiction actually has a similar idea for its first episode secret level, but then given how given how influential Evil Dead is on Blood it is hardly surprising that more than one person would come up with that idea.

Thanks for the update. Look forward to trying it out when it is done (have not played the old beta yet either, so it would be new for me).

Yeah I'd made the ED cabin back in 2003? Bloody Pulp Fiction's is AWESOME love all the stuff from the film in it. For the museum map it resides in, it works better as a WIP exhibit they are setting up, you'll see :) I also throw in a reference to an obscure french horror film about rats haha... warped sense of humor = good Blood game designer.

Just shared a TON of current WIP shots in Dusk & Blood Multiplayer Discord.

Look forward to really really releasing it this time. The beta is great, the final product is going to be tighter and more polished after 15 years of game play and time off from mapping and graphic work.

Do you need help with a web site? I know next to nothing other than a web site creator software , lol but even then I know little.
But if you need help or space I'm sure my host (may for free) host you. lol I'm not sure what he would say though.

Glad another Blood site will be appearing, that's all. MODB is over rated and cumbersome to use. Not sure why people bother with it, especially with very old games like these.

Looking forward to seeing progress on your TC.

You could also ask Willis from Deathmask. He has been brilliant for us.

I actually am certified in HTML 5 and CSS 3, if you need any help.
